DEADLINE: AUGUST 1, 2020 – Kavli Foundation is accepting applications for the 2020 edition of the Science Journalism Awards.
The foundation, through the awards, has been recognising excellence in science journalism since 1945.
The foundation will also be celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
The categories of the award are Science Reporting – Large Outlet, Science Reporting – Small Outlet, Science Reporting – In-Depth, Magazine, Video In-Depth Reporting, Video Spot News/Feature Reporting, Audio and Children’s Science News.
The foundation is accepting entries from journalists worldwide in all categories.
There will be two awards for each category, a Gold award worth US$5,000 and a Silver award worth US$3,500.

The winner of each category will also receive travel expenses to attend an awards ceremony in February 2021 at the AAAS Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
Entrants may submit up to three entries in all (across one or more categories).
Submitted work published or broadcast in a language other than English must also have an English translation.
