DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 9, 2020 ― Applications are still being accepted for the 2020 AIPS Sport Media Awards.
The deadline for submissions, originally set for October 7, has been extended until November 9 as a goodwill gesture to all the colleagues that are still battling with the tougher working conditions in the post COVID-19 scenario.
After discussing the matter with the AIPS Executive Committee, President of the Jury, Gianni Merlo, announced that the new submission deadline will be moved to November 9 as colleagues hope to regain full access in the short term.
“Many top sporting events were rescheduled in October, so we must give the opportunity to our colleagues to submit their work about these events, too,” said Merlo.
The Awards’ Ceremony will be moved from February to April due to these exceptional circumstances.
“By extending the eligibility period and the Awards’ Ceremony date, our hope is to provide the flexibility that all the colleagues need to finish their work without being penalised for something that was beyond anyone’s control, because COVID-19 has changed the life of everyone,” concluded Gianni Merlo.
All submissions first published or broadcast since October 8, 2019, until November 9, 2020 will be accepted for this third edition of the AIPS Sport Media Awards.
The first, second and third place winners in the eight senior categories will receive US$8,000, US$3,000 and US$2,000.
