Apply for Rory Peck Trust Legal Fund for freelance journalists

Rory Peck Trust Legal Fund
Rory Peck Trust invites professional freelance journalists, whose main source of income comes from journalism, to apply for its Legal Fund grants.
The Rory Peck Trust Legal Fund grants are meant to help professional freelance journalists cover the costs and fees related to legal action taken against them because of their reporting.
The amount of assistance varies according to the applicant’s circumstances. This Rory Peck Trust Legal Fund grant aims to help grantees overcome a crisis and, where possible, resume work.
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of the case against them, proof of income and outgoings for the last three months, two reference letters and evidence of latest published work.
Applicants must also be able to receive a grant from a British registered charity.

The application form is currently only available in English, but applicants can complete it in any language.
