Apply for Vaccine Grant Program to fact-check vaccine hoaxes

DEADLINE: MARCH 22, 2021 —The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) in collaboration with WhatsApp seeks applications for Vaccine Grant Program.

The program is a part of the two organizations’ effort to quell the rumors and myths that have hampered the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and created uncertainty around vaccines.

The grant call will provide resources to fact-checkers to help communities across the globe to access accurate and reliable information and be informed about the vaccination efforts.According to the IFCN Director, Baybars Örsek, “Through this Vaccine Grant Program, IFCN and WhatsApp will distribute $500,000 to signatories to the IFCN’s Code of Principles and members of the CoronaVirusFacts Alliance fighting misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines.”
Organizations can submit one application to receive up to $100,000 to support projects in one of the four categories: Editorial, Media Literacy, Technology, New Formats/Distribution.
The deadline for applications is March 22nd, 2021.
