This is in response to the increase in the use of technology to spy on journalists, dissidents, and activists around the world.
Phishing emails and sophisticated malware are some of the methods used to violate personal privacy and endanger the lives of individuals who dare to stand up against dictators and freely express their opinions.
At the virtual meeting, press freedom experts and panelists will dissect the most pressing questions about spyware.
