Award-winning journalist, Funke Treasure Durodola retires

Ace media manager and Assistant Director of Programmes, Lagos Operations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Mrs Funke Treasure Durodola has voluntarily retired.

The former General Manager of Radio Nigeria’s Radio One (103. 5 FM) resigned after 23 years in the Nigeria media industry.

After 19 years of meritorious service with the FRCN, a valedictory session was held in her honour last Tuesday at the Radio Nigeria office, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Durodola is a graduate of English Language from the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Ondo State and also holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University, South Africa.

The ace broadcaster and journalist is a certified John Maxwell Team leadership coach, speaker & trainer, multiple award winner, speech coach, author and social entrepreneur.

She is the initiator of Media Mentoring Initiative which runs an internship scheme for student and practicing journalists.
