Call for applications: Solutions Journalism Africa Fellowship

DEADLINE: JULY 3, 2021 —Solutions Journalism Africa Fellowship invites applications from individuals interested in promoting health or development-focused African solutions through visual, written, oral and digital media.

The fellowship is Solutions Journalism Network’s Africa initiative for journalists, creatives, photographers, freelance reporters, lecturers, tech or data enthusiasts.

Pitches must be directly linked to solutions journalism and delivered through a project, platform or reporting that is multimedia, multilingual and minority-focused.

Successful applicants will be part of a cohort of 10 fellows who will pioneer a community of media innovators, journalists, photographers and artists who create new ideas, coverage or platforms that enhance solutions journalism for Africa, by Africans.

Fellows may have any level of experience in any medium, but must be based in Kenya or Nigeria.

Selected fellows will receive $2,000 in unrestricted funding to support their projects.

The deadline for applications is July 3, 2021.
