Conference on civic engagement in electoral process

DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 15, 2022 — Applications are invited for a democracy conference to promote civic engagement in the electoral process in 10 African countries.

Interested applicants will have access to funding for airfare, lodging & small grants.

The conference aims to strengthen civil society’s capacity to engage in advocacy and oversight before, during, and after the upcoming electoral process in select countries.

Applicants must be affiliated with a recognised non-governmental organisation (NGO) active in democracy work, or be a journalist affiliated with a credible media organisation or online publication.

Eligible countries include Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe.

The deadline for applications is November 15, 2022.
