Fact Checker needed at OCCRP

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 31, 2021 –The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) seeks a meticulous, detail-driven fact checker to join its team.

Interested applicants must be based in Sub-Saharan Africa and be citizens of a country in that region.

This is a freelance position for a fact checker who could be a journalism professional, researcher or academic.

The fact checker will ensure that all stories published are factual, irrefutable, and beyond legal challenge.

Applicants must have investigative experience and be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.

The fact checker must be computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office applications and the Google Office suite.

The deadline for applications is December 31, 2021.
