DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 16, 2022 —The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is offering Global Health Reporting Initiative (GHRI) focused on vaccines and immunisation.

The Global Health Reporting Initiative for 15 journalists in low- and middle-income countries in Africa will enable journalists to better inform public health influencers and communities about vaccines and immunisation

Established with the support of the Sabin Vaccine Institute’s Immunisation Advocates programme, the 9-month, virtual fellowship will take place from October 2022 through June 2023.

At the end of a course, in February 2023, the IWMF will award competitive reporting grants to support the production of in-depth, fact-based, high-quality reporting on vaccines, especially regarding issues of vaccine acceptance and demand.

The GHRI is open to women, men, and nonbinary journalists. Applicants must be full-time, professional working journalists with at least two years of journalism experience.

Journalists of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply; early and mid-career journalists will be given priority.

Journalists must be fluent in English to fully participate in and benefit from the Initiative.

The deadline for applications is September 15, 2022.
