ITM’S 2021 Journalist-in-residence programme

DEADLINE: JUNE 30, 2021 –The Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp invites journalists from all over the world for its programme on tropical medicine and public health.

Applicants must be experienced journalists living and working in Africa, Asia or Latin America, passionate about the world of infectious diseases and international health.

The initiative is part of ITM’s capacity building programme in developing countries, financed by the Belgian Directorate-General for Development (DGD).

Depending on the COVID-19 situation, this year’s eighth edition of the programme will be either virtual or (partially) face-to-face.

During the programme which will hold from December 2-3, experts will discuss pressing issues in global health such as (re-)emerging and neglected tropical diseases.

Selected journalists will have the opportunity to report extensively about the Colloquium, have access to interviews and other learning experiences.

The deadline for applications is June 30th, 2021
