Journalist needed at BBC Africa

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1, 2021 — BBC Africa is currently accepting applications for the role of a journalist to deliver compelling stories on the theme of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).

The journalist must be based in Lagos and will be expected to travel across the region.

Applicants must be full of ideas and creative treatments suitable for a variety of outlets and platforms, including digital, social, television and radio.The selected candidate will work as part of a small team.

The ideal candidate must have a demonstrable record of initiating, developing, gathering and producing audio and video material for different types of output, including self-shooting and editing routinely.

Applicants must have excellent written and broadcast English. Knowledge of another West African language would be an advantage.
The job is a 12-month fixed contract for journalists based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The deadline for applications is February 1, 2021.
