Journalists can apply for 2022 DIG Awards

DEADLINES: JUNE 1 & JULY 1, 2022 —The DIG Awards for the best journalistic investigations and reportage in video and audio format are open for applications.

The 2022 DIG Awards will be assigned during the DIG Festival, a 4-day conference that will be held in Modena (Italy) from September 22 to September 25, 2022.

The DIG Awards acknowledge excellence in journalism and encourage the work of reporters who use video and audio to investigate current social, economic, technological, environmental and political issues.

Freelancers, broadcasters, media companies, newspapers and magazines both online and in print, radio stations, agencies, platforms, consortia, associations, and production companies can apply.

Applications can be submitted to any of the 3 main categories: Video (documentaries and films), Audio (podcasts and radio productions) and Pitch (video projects still in development and production phase).

While the video and audio categories offer non-monetary prizes, the DIG Pitch awards a monetary prize up to €15.000.

The deadline to submit entries for the Video and Audio categories is June 1, 2022. For the DIG Pitch category, the deadline for entries is July 1, 2022.
