Journalists, editors can apply for media management course

Media Management course

DEADLINE: MARCH 15TH, 2021 —KAS Media Africa and Wits Journalism invite African journalists and editors to apply for Media Management short course scholarship.

The media course will be accredited by the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The course will be offered online with weekly virtual seminars from April to May 2021.

Students will be equipped with skills such as legacy and digital management principles, marketing strategy, financial management, human resource management, strategic planning and a better understanding of audiences.

Senior journalists working in newsrooms across sub-Saharan Africa who are interested in taking on management responsibilities are eligible to apply.

Interested applicants must have three to five years of newsroom experience.

The organisers could provide allowances to cover participants’ data costs.

The deadline for applications is March 15th, 2021.
