Media organisations can apply for funding at MDIF Ventures

DEADLINE: JUNE 21, 2021 — The Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) invites applications from growing media companies for the MDIF Ventures.

MDIF Ventures invests in young and growing media companies with a positive social impact and the potential to scale.

It focuses on projects located or serving audiences in countries where access to free and independent news and information is under threat.

Applicants must have a commitment to the provision of unique, credible, independent news, reducing information poverty, addressing accountability, or strengthening debate in the public interest.

The media companies must be independent from the government or any other political or economic interests.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, but the deadline for this first round of applications is June 21, 2021.
