1. Assistant Editor, Health
Functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Research and write stories
• Manage reporters on specific assignments
• Edit articles
• Determine a story’s emphasis, length, and format, and organise material accordingly
• Work under the direction of a Senior Editor as assigned
• Attend regular editorial meetings
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a Health Writer, or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Strong, proven editing ability, involving writing, line editing, substantive editing, copyediting, tone, and headline creation in English
• Knowledge of health and wellness
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
• Time-management skills
• Familiarity with SEO
Education/Experience/Language requirements
• To be successful in this role, you should have experience with health reporting and leads for investigative stories
• First degree or equivalent
2. Chief Correspondent
Responsibilities:
• News hunting: Makes plans for special coverage of news
• Special Reporting: S/he will engage in in-depth and investigative reporting of health sector, as it requires experience and expertise

• To mobilize reporters and see the activities are covered properly and reporters are missing nothing
• Review copy and correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
• Comparative study of competitors: S/he analyses the works of competitors and is fully aware of their activities to make for further improvement in their work.

3. Correspondent
Responsibilities:
• Gather information for news or human interest stories on health issues
• Utilise a number of sources to gain different perspectives and facts
• Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story
• Gather information about health stories through research, interviews, experience

4. Reporters
Responsibilities:
• In-depth researching and reporting on the health beat
• Receiving assignments and evaluating leads and tips in order to develop story ideas
• Discuss issues with editors in order to establish priorities and positions

5. Video Editor
• As a film or video editor, you’ll be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for publication
• The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects
• This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the final product
• You’ll usually work closely with other team members to achieve the desired end result
Competencies
• You are versatile with digital technology, specialist computer software and high-quality digitisation of sound and pictures
• In some instances, you may be given creative freedom, while in others you’ll just be required to operate the necessary machines
• You’ll work on a variety of productions, including: commercials, feature films, music videos, etc.
• Digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what’s usable
• Creating a ‘rough cut’ (or assembly edit) of films and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages
• Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video
• Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
• Experimenting with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements
• Writing voiceover/commentary
• Suggesting or selecting music
• Finalising technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring and adding special effects, etc.

6. Studio Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Helping with the creative process. This means working with video team during the recording session to try to capture the very best take
• Helping with arrangements of tracks and instrumentation

Competencies:
• Studio engineers typically have experience working with audio electronics and computers, and should have strong communication skills

7. Camera operator
Responsibilities:
• Assembling and setting up equipment.
• Planning, preparing and rehearsing scenes.
• Following camera scripts
• Creatively framing and capturing action
• Responding quickly to directions
• Liaising with lighting and technical staff
Competencies:
• Ability to travel at short notice
• Travel between locations
• Long and irregular working hours

8. Audio Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Minimising unwanted sounds
• Regulating volume levels and sound quality
• Setting up ambient sound microphones
• Collaborating with producers and performers
• Providing oversight during live productions
• Meeting clients’ quality standards
• Maintaining and repairing equipment
Competencies:
• Audio engineers operate the equipment necessary to record sounds for recordings that might be strictly audio or that might also include video
• Handling of equipment necessary for producing the best sound at all times
