Africa-China webinars

Interested persons are urged to attend a series of webinars on Africa-China issues.

In the series is a discussion with the editors of the new book, South Africa–China Relations. A Partnership of Paradoxes (2021), Professor Chris Alden (London School of Economics) and Dr Yu-Shan Wu (University of Pretoria), and featuring some of the chapter authors.

The series also covers a joint webinar with the African Centre for the Study of the United States (ACSUS) at Wits University, featuring four African scholars.

In another webinar, Jenni Marsh (Supervising producer, CNN International) will share her wide knowledge and experience reporting on China in Africa and discuss how to challenge stereotypes about China through Africa-China reporting with practical guidance and tips for journalists.

It will also cover a roundtable on COVID-19 vaccine reporting.
