Reporting migration competition open to journalists

DEADLINE: MAY 6, 2022 —Submissions are invited for the Reporting Migration Competition. Journalists who cover migration stories can submit entries.

Organised by the European Union-International Organization for Migration (EU-IOM) Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration, the competition focuses on West and Central African countries and aims to foster quality reporting on reintegration and protection of migrants.

Print, online or broadcast stories on themes: irregular migration, return and reintegration, migrant protection, and migrants with vulnerabilities can be submitted.

Stories must have been published or aired between July 2021 and February 2022.

The first-place to third-place winners in each category will receive US$800, US$500 and US$300, respectively.

The deadline for applications is May 6, 2022.
