DEADLINE: OCTOBER 15, 2021 —Science journalists can apply as mentors at the pilot test of Open Notebook’s new Science Journalism Peer-Mentoring Slack.
The program aims to support journalists who work for publications without dedicated science desks or in regions where access to science news is particularly low, in an age when quality science reporting is needed more than ever.
The pilot-test for the Science Journalism Peer-Mentoring Slack will last for 12 weeks.
Science journalists who serve as mentors during the program will receive a flat fee of $500.
Science journalists with at least 3 years of experience can apply.
The deadline for application is October 15, 2021
