Senior Journalist Reporter needed at BBC Africa

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1, 2021 — BBC Africa seeks applications for the role of a Senior Journalist Reporter with Gates Foundation Project.

Applicants must be based in Lagos and willing to work on a 12-month contract.
The project aims to deliver compelling stories across platforms on the theme of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
The reporter will be expected to travel across the region to produce compelling stories on the topic in a way that engages African audiences on digital, social, and broadcast platforms.The ideal candidate must have an extensive experience of working in Africa and an in-depth understanding of its history, politics, social issues and culture.

Applicants must have excellent written and broadcast English. Knowledge of another West African language would be an advantage.
Interested applicants must also have a demonstrable experience of field reporting related to the themes of water, sanitation and/or health.The deadline for applications is February 1, 2021.
