Senior News Editor needed at BBC

DEADLINE: JANUARY 9, 2022 – The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is hiring a Senior News Editor in West Africa.

The Senior News Editor (Head of West Africa) will act as the editorial reference point for World Service Languages and programmes serving audiences in Francophone and Anglophone West Africa.

BBC seeks a candidate that is fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Hausa, French, Pidgin, Yoruba or Igbo is desirable but not essential.

The Senior News Editor must have knowledge and understanding of the digital market in Nigeria and other key parts of West Africa.
