Training and networking workshop for journalists in Africa

DEADLINE: MARCH 19TH, 2021 —The taz Panter Foundation invites journalists from 16 African countries to attend a free training and networking workshop.
The training and networking workshop will hold from April 2021 to February 2022.

The workshop will improve networking among African journalists as well as with European colleagues and representatives of civil society.

The workshop includes a 10-session webinar-series with experts from civil society and trainers on a key topic every three weeks from April to December 2021.

The topics will be Covid-19 and the global south, Climate change, Corruption, Fake news and desinformation, Hate speech and social media, Migration, Gender, Digital Security, and Investigative journalism

Journalists from Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Ruanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe are invited to apply.

Interested participants must be fluent in English.Print, TV, Radio, Online, Employed and Freelance journalists can apply.

Women, in particular, are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications is March 19th, 2021.
