WSCIJ seeks investigative stories on the justice status of SGBV cases

DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 11, 2021 —The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) seeks investigative stories on the criminal justice status of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) cases.

This opportunity is open to Nigerian professional journalists (full-time or freelance) who wish to execute follow up investigative stories on reported and unresolved SGBV cases between 2018 and 2020.

Successful applicants will be mentored for one month.

Interested journalists must have in depth investigative skills, knowledge of reporting violence against girls and women, and experience in working with the criminal justice system in Nigeria.

Successful applicants are required to attend a one-day mandatory virtual briefing.

WSCIJ strongly encourages female journalists who live outside major cities to apply.

The deadline for applications is November 11th, 2021.
