DEADLINE: OCTOBER 13, 2025 — The Harold W. McGraw Jr. Business Journalism Fellowships, administered by the McGraw Centre, are now accepting applications from journalists interested in deepening their expertise in business reporting and financial journalism.
The fellowships offer a unique opportunity for early- to mid-career journalists to spend time at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Fellows will receive mentorship, access academic resources, and work on in-depth reporting projects in business, finance, economics, or corporate governance.
Applicants must demonstrate strong journalistic ambition, a track record of reporting on business or economics, and a story proposal showing clarity, originality, and impact.
Fellows typically receive up to $15,000 in funding, access to faculty, research facilities, and networking with peers, enabling them to devote time exclusively to their project during the fellowship period.
