2025 Climate Media Awards are open for entries

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 27, 2025 — Journalists, writers, reporters, freelancers, and content creators from anywhere in Africa can apply for the 2025 Climate Media Awards.

There are four award categories, and the total prize money is R130,000.

The Climate Media Awards invite people across Africa to tell their stories about how climate change is affecting their lives and what they or their communities are doing about it.

Stories can be from people who have experienced things like floods, droughts or rising food and electricity prices and how people are adapting to these changes.

Entries must have been published, broadcast or posted between December 1, 2024 and October 26, 2025.

The deadline to submit entries is October 27, 2025.
