Africa regional journalism workshops open for applications

DEADLINE: JULY 20, 2022 —The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is accepting applications for the Africa regional journalism workshops.

ICFJ, in partnership with the U.S. State Department’s Africa Regional Services (ARS), will equip African journalists with relevant resources, tools, and knowledge covering existing and new challenges, such as COVID-19 and disinformation.

Participants will learn about Ethical newsgathering; Investigative journalism; Mobile journalism; Media entrepreneurship; and Elections.

The programme aims to help African journalists improve their work as well as create lasting professional ties between African and American journalists.

Journalists can access the online sessions in English, French and Portuguese.

The deadline for applications is July 20, 2022.
