DEADLINE: AUGUST 31, 2023 — The Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) is accepting applications for the inaugural Africa Science Journalism Awards (ASJA).

The science journalism awards aim to honour excellent reporting on science and innovation in Africa and also improve the coverage of science on the continent. The

The Africa Science Journalism Award will be given to African journalists whose stories cover the SFA Foundation’s thematic focus areas of health, climate change and environment, and agriculture.

Stories must have been published between January 2022 to August 30, 2023.

African journalists who write for local or global print, broadcast and online media outlets can apply for the awards.

The deadline for applications is August 31, 2023.
