African journalists can apply to report on malaria

DEADLINE: AUGUST 26, 2021 —The Thomson Reuters Foundation is accepting proposals from African journalists to report on malaria in Africa.

Thomson Reuters Foundation will train journalists remotely on “Reporting on Malaria in Africa.” The course will begin on 7th to 25th September, 2021.

Participants of this course will be trained on ethical reporting and standards in health reporting.

Selected participants will receive funding to help them produce their proposed malaria stories.

Applications are welcome from African journalists, based in sub-Saharan Africa.

Journalists working in any medium or multiple media can apply. Freelancers can apply too.

The opportunity is for journalists with a minimum of three years’ experience;
