Rory Peck Trust is offering Assistance Grants to professional freelance journalists and their families who are facing crises related to their work.

The grants are for freelancers who have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their work.

Journalists can only apply to and receive a grant from one of the three types of Assistance Funds currently open for application.

1. Legal Fund provides support for freelance journalists to cover legal fees.

2. General Assistance Fund provides support for freelance journalists and their families when they need help.
