AFYMP 2025 media fellowships and capacity development

DEADLINE: MAY 8, 2025 — Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) is accepting applications for its 2025 media fellowships.

The three media fellowships for 2025 include Disability and Inclusion reporting; Campus Journalism and Women in Journalism/Gender Reporting.

Each fellowship will feature both virtual and physical training sessions.

AFYMP will first select 20 journalists in each category but only 8 who demonstrate strong interest in their categories of choice will participate in the physical session while others will attend as virtual participants.

Applicants must be willing to publish two stories after the training. Some of the benefits of the fellowship include gaining industry- level skills, awards for the three best fellows in each category and a general fellow award at the end of the four-month programme.

The deadline for applications is May 8, 2025.
