Asharami Square Energy Reporting Fellowship seeks applications from journalists in Africa

DEADLINE:  NOVEMBER 30, 2026 — The Asharami Square Energy Reporting Fellowship is inviting journalists across Africa to submit original stories that explore the continent’s energy and environmental challenges.

The fellowship is open to print, broadcast, digital and multimedia journalists across Africa, especially media professionals covering the energy and environment sectors in any African country.

Eligible stories must have been published or broadcast between January and November 30, 2026, and should cover areas including environment, power, economics and development, policy and governance, data and technology, or mining and solid minerals.

The winner will receive a $3,500 cash prize, while the winner and top 10 finalists will gain access to masterclasses, workshops, industry facility tours and mentorship.

The deadline to apply for the Asharami Square Energy Reporting Fellowship is November 30, 2026.
