AWiM seeks migration story pitches

DEADLINE: JANUARY 24, 2025 — African Women in Media (AWiM) is accepting pitches on migration’s role in Africa’s growth and development.

AWim is looking for investigative, multimedia and solution-driven stories that challenge myths and reshape narratives.

• Present innovative, solution-oriented perspectives that advocate for inclusive migration narratives.

In-depth and multimedia storytelling formats, such as investigative and feature stories, long-form stories, multimedia content (videos, photo series, podcasts) and social media campaigns/storytelling series are acceptable.

To be considered, applicants must submit a story pitch of at least 100 words, outlining the idea, relevance, intended formats and angle, and access to relevant sources and information.

Also required are a brief cover letter detailing why you are the right person to deliver your proposed project and a CV or portfolio showcasing relevant experience, previous work or content samples.

Applicants can submit up to two pitches each. The pitches, cover letter and CV/portfolio should be submitted to assistant@africanwomeninmedia.com.
