DEADLINE: JUNE 17, 2026 — The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Abuja Office invites applications for the 2026 Nigeria Green Academy, an annual programme for young Nigerians committed to economic, social and political change.
Civil society activists, journalists, academic scholars, artists and social entrepreneurs between the ages of 20-35 years old who have shown determination, passion, innovation and resilience in pursuing societal and political development of Nigeria can apply.
Participants will engage in interactive sessions on democracy, human rights, gender equality, social justice and sustainable development while exploring innovative approaches to addressing Nigeria’s governance and development challenges.
The five-day programme will take place in Abuja in August or September 2026 and will bring together a diverse group of young leaders from across the country.
After completing the Academy, fellows would be part of an alumni network and would continue to benefit from having access to events, mini-grants, and information on funding opportunities through an alumni network.
The application deadline is June 17, 2026.
