DEADLINE: JULY 9, 2022 —The Africa Centre for Development Journalism (ACDJ) invites applications for its Inequality Reporting Fellowship.
Qualified Nigerian full-time or freelance journalists can participate in the Inequality Reporting fellowship.
The project is part of a Collaborative Media Partnership supported by the MacArthur Foundation through the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism.
Successful applicants will participate in a 2-day intensive training workshop in Lagos and 4 weeks of mentoring.
The journalists will receive a reporting grant to execute special reports, which will be published/broadcast by their media houses as well as the ACDJ website.
The reports may be human angle based but will be also evidence-based and backgrounded / illustrated with data for the big picture.
Applicants should have a record of reporting on one or more of the following inequality themes: Childhood / Youth, Economic status, Education / Skills, Energy, Food & Nutrition, Gender, Health, Housing, Injustice / Status before the Law, People living with disability, Political representation, Reproductive health, Social status, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene – And / Or Census, Development, Population and Demography-related issues.
The deadline for applications is July 9, 2022.
