DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1, 2024 — Journalists who want to deepen their knowledge about immigration and migrant integration research can apply for the CERC Migration journalism fellowship programme.
This is a one-month residency with Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) Migration at Toronto Metropolitan University. The CERC Migration Journalism Fellowship promotes collaboration and knowledge transfer between researchers and Canadian and international journalists to strengthen the communication of evidence-based knowledge about migration and integration issues.
The fellowship is open to staff and freelance journalists who regularly cover politics, society, culture or the economy, related to national or international issues. The applicant must have a minimum of five years of media work experience, with examples of work that cover complex issues that are international in scope.
The fellowship offers a stipend of $4,000 CAD, access to an office space and resources that are available in the CERC Migration facility and networking and professional development.
The deadline for applications is November 1, 2024.
