Champions Educational Foundation’s national essay competition for undergraduate students

DEADLINE: JANUARY 20, 2025 — Undergraduate students are invited to submit entries for the 4th national essay competition of the Champions Educational Foundation (CEF).

The annual national essay competition is part of the CEF’s mission to encourage creativity, particularly writing skills among young people in the era of generative Artificial Intelligence.

The topic for the 2025 essay is “Harnessing artificial intelligence for sustainable development in Nigeria.”

While there is no age limit for the applicants, entries must be from undergraduate students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The top three entries will win a sum of N325,000 in this order: N150,000 for the overall winner, N100,000 for the first runner-up and N75,000 for the second runner-up.

The top 10 participants will also be inducted into the CEF’s one-year mentorship and career development fellowship programme.

Interested participants should note that:

  • The management only accepts original entries.
  • Entries that have been used or published elsewhere will not be reviewed.
  • AI-generated content will be automatically rejected.
  • All entries should not exceed 2000 words (PDF only) and information such as the name, institution and contact details of the writer should be included.
