CJID’s training on investigating migration fraud in Nigeria

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 28, 2026 — The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) invites Nigerian journalists, editors, and campus journalists for a two-day training on investigating migration fraud.

This training will equip 20 journalists to investigate and expose migration fraud and the corruption behind it.

Participants will build skills in open-source intelligence (OSINT), digital verification, document and claims verification, data analysis, network mapping, source development, investigative interviewing, safeguarding, and ethical reporting on migration and trafficking.

Applicants must be based in, or have strong reporting access to, the South West, South South, or South East regions of Nigeria. Journalists from other regions may also apply.

Applicants must also have a demonstrated interest in investigative, migration, or public-interest reporting.

All applications must be submitted on or before September 28, 2026.
