Enrol for free online media course at fesmedia Africa

Journalists can apply for free online course, “Right to Information” at fesmedia Africa. The course aims to empower participants to determine the applicable laws in their countries and make successful requests for information from government and other public bodies.

The course was created by fesmedia Africa, the African Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC), the Centre for Law in Democracy (CLD) and fraycollege.

The course has five modules which will cover: Introduction to the Right to Information; The Legal Framework for the Right to Information; Interpreting Exceptions; and Appeals and Promotional Roles.

Modules can be done at the participant’s own pace over a two to four-week period.

The media course has begun on the 16th of August and will be offered again on the 18th of October.
