Eric and Wendy Schmidt awards for excellence in science communications

DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2025 — Applications are open for Eric and Wendy Schmidt Awards for Excellence in Science Communications.

Science communicators, science journalists, and research scientists can apply for the awards given by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine in partnership with Schmidt Sciences.

The science communications award will confer 24 awards worth $640,000 in total.

Those at the frontlines of science communication or journalism who have developed creative, original work that addresses issues and advances in science, engineering or medicine for the general public can apply.

The deadline to apply is March 31, 2025.
