Fact-checking journalist needed in Lagos

DEADLINE: APRIL 14, 2022 —The Agence France-Presse (AFP) seeks a fact-checking journalist to join its team in Lagos. The applicant must have strong digital investigation skills.

The role includes covering online misinformation in Nigeria and the wider region as well as supporting factcheckers in other bureaus in Africa.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of AFP’s fast-growing fact-checking network, which has seen it take a leading role in the global fight against false information online.

Applicants must have native-level English. Knowledge of local languages and/or French/Arabic/Spanish would be a big plus.
