DEADLINE: JANUARY 25, 2024 — FactCheckAfrica, an initiative of Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative, seeks applications for its forthcoming Fact-checking Media Workshop in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Journalists working with media firms, freelance journalists, and students from any tertiary institution within Ibadan and environs can apply for the event tagged ‘Ibadan Fact-Checker Media Workshop’.
The fact-checking workshop is scheduled for February 3, 2024 at the University of Ibadan.
Applicants are to submit a 150-200 word essay on “The Importance of the Press in Countering Violent Extremism in West Africa.”
Participants will receive training by professionals from top media organizations, certificate of participation, moderate transportation stipends, tea break and lunch, post-training mentorship, and an opportunity to intern with Fact Check Africa.
The deadline for applications is January 25, 2024.
