Free online fact-checking course available for journalists

Journalists can apply for this free online course on the essentials of fact-checking and creative ways to counter disinformation using just a phone.

The fact-checking course is designed to equip students and journalists with tools to reach and engage young audiences on topics around fact checking and media literacy. It also teaches how to create compelling content about fact-checking that one can share online.

Participants will learn how to fact-check content, whether it’s in text, photo or video format.

This course is organised by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and In Old News within TechCamp Kazakhstan Small Grants Programme supported by U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy in Astana, and MediaNet International Centre for Journalism Public Foundation.
