DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 28, 2025 — The Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) is accepting submissions for the Global Shining Light Award.
This award recognises investigative journalism in a developing or transitioning country, done under threat, duress, or in the direst of conditions.
Top winners will receive an honorary plaque, US$2,500, and a trip to the November 2025 Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The reports to be submitted must originate in a Global South country, must have been broadcast or published between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024, and must uncover an issue, wrong-doing, or system of corruption which gravely affected the common good.
The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2025.
