ICIR seeks applications for SPARK investigative reporting fellowship

DEADLINE: AUGUST 14, 2025 — Journalists can apply for the Strengthening Public Accountability for Results and Knowledge (SPARK 2.2) Project, an investigative reporting fellowship by the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR).

The investigative reporting fellowship runs in Anambra, Oyo, Ogun, Niger, Kano, Jigawa, and Nasarawa States.

It seeks to highlight pressing governance and development challenges, with a focus on maternal healthcare and agricultural productivity.

Applicants must have at least three years of journalism experience in print, electronic, or online media, show a track record in investigative reporting, and reside in one of the seven focus states.

Female journalists and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications is August 14, 2025.
