John S. Knight journalism fellowship open for applications

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 3, 2025 — John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships offer journalists an opportunity to spend an academic year at Stanford University reimagining the future of journalism.

Journalists currently working in news organisations, independent journalists, journalism entrepreneurs, strategists and innovators can apply for the fellowship.

The journalism fellowship supports journalists from around the world who are creating solutions to journalism’s most urgent problems.

Fellows will receive a stipend of $130,000 for the nine-month fellowship, amongst other benefits.

Applicants must have at least five years of full-time professional journalism experience.

The deadline for applications is December 3, 2025.
