Journalists can apply for AIPS Sport Media Awards

DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 4, 2023 —Professional journalists are invited to submit entries for the 2023 AIPS Sport Media Awards.

The AIPS Sport Media Awards aim to build a bridge to the future of sports journalism, by showcasing the best works from all over the world.

The senior categories include: Writing Best Colour Piece, Writing Best Column, Video Documentary, Video Short Feature (up to 10 minutes), Video Athlete Profile (more than 10 minutes), Photography Portfolio (3-5 pictures), Photography Sport Action (1 picture), and Audio.

The Young Reporters categories are split into Writing, Photography and Broadcasting (Audio & Video).

Freelancers and full-time employees are equally encouraged to participate. Entries must have been published between November 5, 2022 and November 4, 2023.

The senior category awards $8,000 for the first place, $3,000 for the second place and $2,000 for the third. Each of the three Young Reporter Under 30 categories declare one winner that will receive the AIPS scholarship at a top international event.

The deadline for submissions is November 4, 2023.
