Journalists can apply for online course on mental health

Registration is currently ongoing for the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas’ online course on mental health and journalism.

The online course is made available with support from the Carter Center and in collaboration with the Self-Investigation.

Entitled, “Mental health and journalism: How journalists can responsibly report on it and take care of themselves,” the course will be held June 27 to July 31.

During the five-week massive open online course, students will learn how to take care of their mental health in a stressful industry, as well as how to report on mental health issues with greater accuracy and empathy.

Participants who meet all of the course requirements and pay an administrative fee of US$30 will receive a certificate of completion.
