KAS Media Africa’s 2026 Local Journalism Award

DEADLINE: JANUARY 5, 2026 — KAS Media Africa invites journalists to submit entries for the 2026 Local Journalism Award.

The Award celebrates excellence in local reporting across Sub-Saharan Africa. Work must have been published in 2025, and submissions can be in English or French.

For the local journalism award, KAS Media welcomes print, online, audio, video features, and innovative social media journalism projects that showcase the importance of local reporting and meet high journalistic standards.

Three winners will each receive an invitation to the Local Journalism Conference in Malawi in February 2026, along with a financial recognition to support their projects.

The deadline for applications is January 5, 2026.
