DEADLINE: ROLLING — Mongabay, a leading environmental science and conservation news organisation, is inviting applications for the position of Managing Editor (Africa).
This full-time role offers an opportunity to lead and shape high-impact environmental journalism across the African continent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of editors and reporters, commissioning and editing original stories, managing editorial projects, strengthening partnerships with media organisations, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, fact-based and timely reporting.
Eight or more years of experience working with a news outlet in an editor position is required.
While there is no required location for this position, an ability to coordinate with colleagues working in a diversity of time zones is strongly preferred.
