DEADLINE: MAY 30, 2021 — NewsWireNGR invites applications for the role of a Managing Editor to oversee the editorial team and contributing freelancers.
NewsWireNGR is team of Multimedia Journalists and Storytellers, who go beyond the norm to tell under-reported stories.
The new managing editor will set themes and determine content. solicit and evaluate pitches from writers, assign stories, schedule articles and reviews, support the editors, communicate feedback, and format articles for publication.
The ideal candidate must be skilled in content management, with news editing skills and an eye for spotting headline worthy stories.
Applicants must have the knowledge of online publishing and journalistic codes of ethics and be experienced with Back-end publishing.
This position is remote, but candidates must be based in Lagos or Abuja.
